The Web Weaver

Well yes, that's me. Peter, to be specific. Usually engaged in duels with computers, I always was into music from anywhere over the world, and likewise into dancing - stuff like ballroom and Rock 'n Roll. For too long a time I did not encounter Salsa. When I did, it became a love at first sound. As for dancing (and everywhere else too?), love needed severe practising first, but "you can get it if you really want" [Bob Marley].

Now, for some years already, I am enjoying Salsa in all the facets I can find and - circumventing all the discussion about Salsa on 1 or 2 - like to choose the style depending on the music and my emotional response to it.

On my travels I like to encounter new clubs and add them to my list, and in particular to add to my style. Then, after all, I am doing with computers, and so at some time this site, Latin Dance, came into existence - see its history.

me @ La Habana << This piece was done by a Cuban artist while I was watching a Son group performing under El Portal at Plaza de la Catedral in La Habana, Cuba - trying to learn more about the rhythmic and harmonic patterns. Later on, being invited to take the guitar, I had a great time in playing along...many thanks to these superb musicians!

me @ jungle in a spontaneous jam session >> Some time later: music catches me again. Out in the wilderness we had a spontaneous session with Cubans that happened to have an extra guitar :-)

Although the ultimate experience without any doubt was to visit Casa de la Trova in Habana, and being invited to participate in the weekly jam session.
