Many thanks to Michael Peters for giving me the material from his Stockholm page. He points out that There are many Salsa-events in Stockholm. Read about it in the city magazins or ask a local Salsero. They always know about special events e.g. the monthly event at the:

The club owner says:
"La Isla is the most popular salsa club in Stockholm, etablished 1989. we have open 3 days a week: Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8 o'clock to 05 in the morning." Adds
Michael Peters:
The entry is situated in the metro station Fridhemsplan. They play Salsa from the actual charts mainly. Sometimes a little bit boring and to slow. But they have also 'La Nueva Generacion De La Musica Cubana' and sometimes Merengue and Cumbia.
According to Henrik Vogt half of the time people perform disco-style (freestyle) dancing, not really salsa.
The Mambo Club at Fasching
Kungsgatan 63 (Metro: T-Centralen )
Tel: 08-216267
closed according to Henrik Vogt.
La Habana
Sveavdgen 108 (Metro: T-Redmansgatan)
Tel: 08-166465
admittance: free
provided by Michael Peters who comments:
The 'La Habana' is a small bar with a nice atmosphere.
Dancing is a little bit difficult since there is only a
very small overcrowded dance floor in the basement.
Upstairs people meet to eat and drink. A good place to
start into the Stockholm - Salsa-nights.
