... is a labyrinth of 3 dance halls (salons) and bars and aisles and salons with sofas. Overwelming abundance of paintings, frescoes, lustres and other baroque furniture.
One dance hall, the Tangoteca on Wednesday from 22:30, is reserved for the addicts of argentinian tango, the second is a usual disco and in the third one they play all other sorts of dancable music: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Paso doble, Jive, Rock 'n Roll, ... Only on Tuesday exclusively Salsa. You should try to get one ore more of those vouchers for "Acceso libre 2 pax" which lay there on all these baroque tables, if you don4t want to pay the admitance of some hundred Pesetas.

I met this place by pure coincidence, and in ten minutes it became my current top recommendation for Madrid. Small, intimate, with good drinks :-), mucha gente latinoamericana, and no plastics out of the speakers. I had big fun dancing until 5 am, it only took some effort to make the DJ play something beside Merengue and Bachata, such as Salsa and Cumbia - well, it is a meeting place for Dominicanos since long...
