- a brief history

This website once started as my personal notepad for salsa clubs I visited, or as a reminder of clubs I intended to visit in the future. As this list evolved, I realized that other people had discovered the web pages and used them, too. Of course, now I had to be somewhat more careful with design and accuracy ;-), and so it gradually grew and grew. When people began to inform me about their club news, the idea of this web site was born. But still it needed several years until it looked like this, with its own web domain!

Meanwhile, a lot of people continuously help me to keep this salsa club database up-to date. They also frequently add their opinions which I usually copy, too - but see the disclaimer.

All in all, this website meanwhile has become the largest non-commercial salsa club database in the world!
